A rich and deep co-curriculum
We are driven to offer a wide range of learning opportunities beyond the classroom and these will include the Performing Arts, Sport, DofE, clubs, trips and expeditions. The co-curriculum promotes the development of working with others and where new abilities and talents can be encouraged and nurtured. Creativity Activity and Service [CAS] is the Core of the of the International Baccalaureate’s educational programmes and this is the golden thread that links our impressive academic and pastoral records. This may mean that a student launches a rocket over the Stephenson Science building or collects ecology data in the Mayan ruins of Mexico. Service is at the heart of what we do, and many activities will see older students mentoring younger students in their progress or helping out others in the local community. A growing sense of responsibility is a key ingredient to our offer as students move through the school. Ultimately, the co-curriculum is about having fun through finding activities that students can enjoy for years to come.
The list of clubs available to students has grown again this year and we are indebted to the staff who give up their time to ensure this offering runs alongside the normal day throughout the year. Simply click on the image below to open the catalogue and view the opportunities!
