My name is Mrs Lowman and I am the Examinations Officer at Dartford Grammar School. I administer the registration, submission and organisation of all written external examinations and the internal examinations for Sixth Form students. I have an “Open Door” policy between 8am and 4pm: if students can see that I am in my office, then they are welcome to pop in and talk through any issues.
All the documents listed below under Key Information are required reading for all students who are sitting GCSE exams. The JCQ (Joint Council of Qualifications) determines the procedures and policies which all awarding bodies and exam centres have to agree to adhere to. One of my responsibilities is to ensure that every student knows where to find and has access to the required regulations. They need to be read by every GCSE Student.
The full school summer time table for GCSE Written Examinations and IB Written Examinations can be found here on the web site for students and parents to access or print.
All students are given a personal timetable through their tutor groups.
Further information and advice regarding both the GCSE and IB Examinations can be found under Sharepoint, through the Exams tile.
If you have any issues or concerns regarding external or internal sixth form examinations please do not hesitate to contact me on: firstname.lastname@example.org
or 01322 223039 extension 148
The awarding bodies have designated Wednesday 26th June 2019 as a ‘contingency day’ for examinations.
The designation of a ‘contingency day’ within the common examination timetable is in the event of national or local disruption to examinations. It is part of the awarding bodies’ standard contingency planning for examinations. Therefore all GCSE candidates must remain available until Wednesday 26th June 2019 should an awarding body need to invoke its contingency plan.
Students: please see the following policy advice documents; it is your responsibility to read the information provided and abide by the regulations.
