Keeping in touch
We aim to keep you informed through the website and mailings, and we hope to cultivate lasting friendships. We can realistically only reach those for whom we have current email addresses so if you do not hear from us regularly please email alumni@dartfordgrammarschool.org.uk to be added to our mailing list.
There will be events where we aim to rekindle old friendships and foster new ones: for instance the major reunion of March 2024 was well attended and we shall host the next major event of this nature during the 450th anniversary celebrations in 2026. Details will be released in good time and we hope to see as many of you as possible at one or more of these.
Careers and mentoring
ODs go on to have rich and varied lives and careers. Many of you recognise that your experience is invaluable to our students and we are fortunate to be able to tap into that to give confidence to our leavers in their choices regarding the next stage of their lives.
We always welcome more speakers to put in front of our students. It is also important that we know where to turn for advice and mentoring in career fields. If you feel able to talk to students in these capacities then do let us know. See our Futures page on this website for more background.
Email alumni@dartfordgrammarschool with any thoughts you may have. In particular please let us know if the organisation you work for runs taster days for school leavers as we are keen to build up our knowledge of these.
The Careers Fair
In November each year we host a Careers Fair for students throughout the school. If you can host a stall either on behalf of your company or as an independent advisor, please let us know. In the first instance email Alison Holland at alumni@dartfordgrammarschool.org.uk to discuss how you might help.
