16 Oxbridge offers for DGS students
Dartford Grammar School has this year seen the highest number of Oxford and Cambridge University places ever offered to our applicants. 16 students hold offers for entry this September, equally split across the two destinations, from 35 applications, which means our students firmly exceeded the offer average of approximately 1 in 6.
The details of the Oxford and Cambridge offers, and the colleges making them, are as follows:
Oxford: Classics: Corpus Christi; PPE: St Hildas; History Oriel; Fine Art: Queen’s; Chinese: St Anne’s; PPE: Trinity; PPE: Pembroke; Law: Magdalen
Cambridge: Psychology: Downing: Law: Gonville & Caius; Philosophy: Churchill; MML German and Italian: Girton; Human, Social and Political Sciences: Fitzwilliam; Human, Social and Political Sciences: Gonville & Caius; Mathematics: Selwyn; English: Pembroke.
This outcome is testimony to the hard work and dedication of the students who have materialised the highest of aspirations. Congratulations go to them and the team of staff who support and advise on the UCAS application process!
(Some 301 UCAS applications in total have been submitted in total by students at Dartford Grammar School, a number that includes a handful made by Year 14s who continue to be offered support inside the school for the application process. It is of course still early in the 2019 UCAS process so we are not yet able to comment on the outcome of the rest of these.)
