CCF 3-day Training Exercise
The first weekend of half term saw Year 9 and Year 10 cadets brave the cold weather and deploy to Yardley Chase Training Area for three day squadron fieldcraft and infantry tactics exercise with the aim of training and testing cadets in fieldcraft and tactics in line with the Army Cadet Syllabus.
The Squadron was broken down into mixed ability section groups with junior cadets comprising section members and senior cadets in command appointments. The Cadets conducted a full program of field craft training which included; blank firing, patrolling, close quarters battle lanes, night ambushes and section attacks.
Cadets were assigned a weapon system that they were responsible for throughout the duration of the exercise.
All those that attended demonstrated determination and resilience to complete all training elements in a challenging, cold and wet exercise!
