DGS 9th in English Schools Cross Country Cup
Following some outstanding performances at District level during October and November, the cross country runners from Dartford Grammar School qualified for the 2018 finals of the English Schools Cross Country Cup for the first time in the School's history.
The finals took place on Saturday 24th November 2018 at Woodbridge in Suffolk. On the day, the teams finished 9th out of the 28 teams in the final competition, with notable runs from Pablo Seema Roca and Jalen Pople who finished 3rd and 5th respectively.
Cross Country is a natural adjunct to our outstanding athletics prowess and we look forward to the boys building on this success in the coming years.
As always, thanks go to our Games staff, without whose tactical advice, support and willingness to devote their Saturdays to such extra-curricular activities, our students would not be competing in these kinds of prestigious events. But more importantly, congratulations to the runners on their very fine debut in this event!
