DGS shines at Lee Valley Indoor Athletics Championships

40 athletes from Dartford Grammar School entered into the championships held over the weekend of 15/16 March 2025 at Lee Valley. There was a great deal of success from the squad with lots of personal bests being achieved.

The boys from DGS won 30 medals in total: 10 Gold, 12 Silver and 8 Bronze. 

Two new school indoor records were set at this meet:

• Year 11 - Daniel Obike – 1.91m in the high jump
• Year 11 - Rahman Odugbayi – 13.97m in the triple jump (This was also a new Championship best performance)

Additionally, Titomi Olukemi set a new indoor 200m record the weekend before – Year 11 200m record is now 23.44s

Huge congratulations to all who took part and of course thanks to the staff who give up their weekends to accompany the athletes!
