Dartford Grammar School’s class of 2022 celebrate outstanding GCSE results

We are delighted that our Year 11 students have achieved an outstanding set of GCSE results, the product of their hard work over the last 2 years, and the considerable support of their subject teachers.

This year, following the return of exams, students achieved 81% of all grades awarded to be level 7-9 and with 34% at grade 9.  Impressively, all students completed a broad programme of GCSEs that included the study of two languages, and this places them in a unique position as they look towards their futures.

Particular congratulations go to Luke Chapman, George Clements, Jesse Rees and Chris Thenat who achieved grade 9s in all eleven subjects, with David Babarinde, Thom Fenley, Vishwanaath Saravanan and Rishab Singhal gaining grade 9 in ten subjects.

Headmaster Julian Metcalf commented, ‘all students should be very proud of their achievements: I would like to congratulate both students and their teachers on the hard work that lies behind these results. We offer a vigorous, academic curriculum at DGS that is designed to prepare students to be successful in the sixth form and beyond. They fully deserve their success.’
