Dartford Grammar School’s class of 2023 celebrate impressive GCSE results

We are delighted that our students have achieved an outstanding, richly deserved set of GCSE results. These are the product of their hard work over the last 2 years, as well as the considerable support of their excellent subject teachers.   Our Year 11 students have achieved an Attainment 8 score of 78.10, with 76% of all grades awarded at level 7-9 and 31% at grade 9.

Impressively, all students completed a broad, balanced and academic programme of study, including two languages to GCSE and this places them in a unique position in comparison to the national picture.

Particular mention must go to Vatsal Rajesh, Hojiakbar Sadullaev, Sohan Suchdev who gained a truly outstanding set of twelve straight grade 9s. Additionally, Pelumi Akande, David Barwell, Titobi Olukemi, Vibhaas Tripooraneni and Aayush Saha gained eleven grade 9s, with Debare Alade, Aanish Lakshminarayanan, Sanjay Saravanan, Michael Banh, Kieran Blackley, Devon Enobakhare, Kanayochuckwu Isamah, Aabhas Parande and Lakharm Somasundaram gaining ten grade 9s. This places students at the pinnacle of academic achievement, nationally.

The Head, Mr Metcalf, commented, ‘All students should be very proud of their achievements: I would like to congratulate both students and their teachers on the hard work and commitment that has so clearly gone in to these results. I don’t doubt that these students will now go on to excel in the sixth form. They fully deserve their success.’
