Eddie Jones visits Dartford Grammar School

The Dartford Grammar School U15A team saw victory over Duke of York’s School in the Natwest Plate in mid-January: a superb team performance.

The boys were then congratulated by Eddie Jones, who was visiting the school that day and keen to meet our students to pass on words of wisdom. The former England (and the new Australian) coach, who has a link with Old Dartfordians Rugby Club, also ran a training session for a group of rugby players from Years 11, 12 and 13.

Mr Jones then hosted a Q&A session for the players and some GCSE PE students, who felt enormously privileged to spend time with such a force of the rugby world.

We are enormously grateful for the unhurried time he spent with us - notably humble and very generous with his time.
