GCSE students celebrate another year of high attainment
An Attainment 8 total of 73.2 includes 63% of all grades being awarded at Level 9-7/A*,A with 99.3% of students completing courses in 2 Modern Foreign Language GCSEs, which includes one European and one Asian language. 15 students: Rotimi Adewale; Tomisin Adewole; Marcus Amankwah; Spencer Bailey; Rowan Burford; William Cahill; Tyler Chung Underwood; Matthew Cooksley; Thomas Copp; Alexander Curwood; Toby Dear; Owen Hoy; Emmanuel Israel; Daniel Phan and Alex Redshaw achieved 7 or more Level 9/A*s and have all enrolled for the prestigious International Baccalaureate Diploma course starting on 3 September 2018.
The school’s specialisms in Languages and Science continue to excel. The results in Science are exceptional with 84% of all students achieving three level 7 – 9 grades in Biology, Chemistry and Physics. Dartford Grammar School has been selected to be one of just nine schools nationally to lead on Language development and excellence in England. We are proud of our students for bucking the national trend with students sitting examinations in two Languages, out-performing national averages at a time where the level of challenge in MFL increases. The curriculum at Dartford Grammar School continues to be broad and academically rigorous with a distinctive and unique international dimension, preparing our students for further success in the future.
