Honouring 46 Old Dartfordians killed in WW1
On Saturday 29th April a group of Year 10 students made something of a pilgrimage to honour the 46 Old Dartfordians who we know lost their lives in WW1. The group had a very full programme: first they visited the preserved trenches at Sanctuary Wood, then they moved on to Tynecot British Commonwealth Cemetery, then Langemarck German Cemetery, before finally visiting the Flanders Fields museum in Ypres. The group attended the nightly Menin Gate ceremony where they laid a wreath to the Old Dartfordians who were killed in the First World War.
