Japan House Volunteer Scheme
Year 12 Japanese students on the Ab initio course visited The Japan House on Wednesday 28th November to interview for a place on their volunteer scheme. The Japan House is a new cultural space in London, exhibiting art, design, gastronomy, innovation and technology relating to Japan. The only other Japan Houses are in San Paolo and Los Angeles.
Students were asked to choose an exhibit that appealed to them, and present about it to a panel in order to demonstrate their customer relations skills. They were also asked to speak about their passion for Japanese culture. Our students gave an excellent impression and will commence their volunteer placements in January, assisting in guiding guests around the building, administrative support and dissemination of information relating to the exhibitions.
We wish them every success in their roles, and look forward to seeing where the experience may lead them in the future!
