Year 11 Class of 2025 set a new school record with their impressive GCSE results!

Following an excellent set of Year 13 IB results before the summer, we are delighted that our Year 11 students have gone a step further, achieving the school’s best ever GCSE results with an impressive, richly deserved set of grades.

Incredibly 80.7% of all grades awarded were 9-7, and 31.9% were at the top grade 9. Students’ Attainment 8 score was 79.69 and the average Ebacc GCSE grade was 7.98. These are all school records.

All students at Dartford Grammar School follow a broad, balanced and challenging programme of academic study, including two languages, to GCSE. This places them in a unique position in comparison to the national picture.

Particular mention should go to those students who achieved 10 or more subjects at the maximum grade 9: Samad Oyeniyi, Shiva Satish, Saharsh Gaurishetti, Michael Koganti, Neminathan Malarselvan, Jatin Peddamallu, Adrian Precopie, Ajay Singh, Layo Osibeluwo, Zain Pala, Aaden Kwok, Aarnav Agarwal, Krish Poudel, Eli Rocafort and Yagaziem Nwora. These results place students at the pinnacle of academic achievement nationally.

Not only have they bucked the national trend this year (which saw an overall fall in GCSE results), they have set a new school record by all measures. I don’t doubt that the Year 11 Class of 2025 will now excel in the sixth form. They fully deserve these impressive results.’
