Year 11 celebrate impressive GCSE results!

Congratulations to our Year 11 Class of 2026 on a very impressive set of GCSE results, that rank amongst our highest results as a school.

All students at Dartford Grammar School follow a broad and challenging programme of GCSEs, including the study of all 3 sciences and 2 languages.

Nearly 80% of all subject grades were at 7-9 (the equivalent of A/A*), and just under 30% of all grades were the maximum grade 9. The year group’s Attainment 8 total was 78.98, meaning the average grade was a grade 8, which is a remarkable achievement. 80% of all students achieved grades 7-9 in their language, and 90% achieved these top grades in their sciences and Maths.

In total,13 students achieved straight grade 9s in at least 10 subjects, with particular congratulations to Zeme A, Zachary O and Alan W for achieving 12 subjects at grade 9, and to Timi A, Paramveer C and Mahi M on achieving 11 subjects at the top grade.

For the year group as a whole, nearly all students have met our sixth form entry requirements of 52 points (from ‘best 8’) and will proceed to study the International Baccalaureate Diploma in the sixth form, alongside the wide range of sixth form sports, music, drama and other academic and co-curricular activities on offer to them in our specialist sixth form facilities. The Year 11 and sixth form pastoral teams remain on hand to offer help and guidance to all our students.  

We don’t doubt that all our Year 11 students will go on to be highly successful in the sixth form.
