Pastoral

The aim of our extensive pastoral team is to help to create a climate in which all students can thrive. That climate is created through ensuring that students feel well-known.

We work from the principle that every student is capable of meeting high expectations regardless of circumstances if they get the right support. It is the role of our pastoral teams to provide the support to ensure that all can thrive personally so that all can thrive academically and within the community.

As an IB World School and ‘a learning community developing international citizens’, we are working with the IB global community to develop ‘active, compassionate … lifelong learners who understand that other people, with their differences, can also be right.’ A strong pastoral ethos is crucial for enabling us to deliver the IB’s important mission of developing ‘inquiring, knowledgeable and caring young people who help to create a better and more peaceful world through intercultural understanding and respect.’
