Pupil Premium and Sixth Form Bursary
Our intention is that all pupils, irrespective of their background or the challenges they face, make good progress and achieve highly across our curriculum. It is our aim that all will achieve the Ebacc and will want to go on to study the International Baccalaureate in the sixth form. We aim for ALL students to be able to enjoy the full range of the programme we offer where curriculum and co-curriculum are intrinsically linked and where participation in the latter is integral to well-being and wider success.
The focus of our pupil premium strategy is to support our disadvantaged pupils who are already considered to be high achievers. We have considered the specific challenges faced by our disadvantaged students and by their families as they seek to support them. More details of how we use the funding can be found here.
Sixth Form entrants can apply for funding via the 16-19 Bursary Fund, which is made available by the government through its funding body - Education Skills Funding Agency (ESFA) for 16-19 year olds - to provide assistance to students whose access to, or completion of, education is inhibited by financial constraints or barriers. More information on the Bursary Fund can be found here.
