At Dartford Grammar School, we believe in the importance of internationalism, tolerance and compassion. Underpinning this belief is our enriching and challenging curriculum, a curriculum that offers balance, whilst providing young people with a clear sense of purpose and direction. The IB Diploma offers a full-time education that will enable you to follow any path you should choose in the future, equipping you with the skills necessary to succeed in the ever-changing employment landscape.

The sixth form years and the decisions they bring will shape the next phase in your educational journey. Our dedicated Sixth Form team will do everything they can to ensure that you are given the best advice to help in making these decisions. Working alongside this pastoral team is a dedicated, enthusiastic and knowledgeable UCAS team.

The school’s mission statement, ‘A learning community developing international citizens’ reflects the purpose of an IB World School; ‘to develop young people who help to create a more peaceful world through intercultural understanding and respect’ and ‘to encourage students across the world to become active, compassionate and lifelong learners who understand that other people, with their differences, can also be right’.

As you will see from walking around the school, your son/daughter will benefit from the exciting and new Sixth Form Study Centre, which opened at the start of the last academic year. We now have a facility to rival any contemporary and creative working environment, offering a physical space to match the tremendously talented students it holds.

The Sixth Form

The School offers an exciting and extensive Sixth Form Induction programme every year which introduces prospective students to the Sixth Form experience.
